East Pond water lowering
Oct. 05, 2007 - Oct. 09, 2007The temporary lowering of the East Pond water level will begin on Thursday, October 4th. The pumping is expected to take 5 or 6 days but will depend on the amount of rain we get that week. The pump will be located on the City right-of-way located behind 77 Orchard St. partway down the hill (see a map here). The pump will be in a noise silencing unit so operation should produce very little noise. The discharge hose will cross Cove Road at the bottom of the hill protected by a road ramp to allow for traffic to continue to pass. Please use caution as traffic may be reduced to one lane.
