17th Annual Coves Clean-Up

Apr. 19, 2008 09:00 AM 12:00 PMIf you would like to participate in efforts to make a cleaner and healthier environment in the Coves Subwatershed, come out and pitch in for the 17th Annual Coves Clean-Up on Saturday, April 19, 2008.
Registration will be at the Greenway Park parking lot from 9 - 9:30 a.m. (on Greenside Ave. off of Springbank Dr.) - see a map here.
All registered participants will be eligible to win a brand new canoe donated by Nova Craft Canoe!
After registering, participants will spread out to work on various stewardship projects throughout the Coves Subwatershed, such as garbage clean-up, tree and shrub planting and mulching.
Return to Greenway Park at 11:30 for a free picnic lunch and conversation with your neighbours about the days accomplishments.
Through participation in this event, secondary school students can earn hours towards their Community Involvement Volunteer Hours - see one of the organizers during registration or lunch.
