London's recycling program has expanded
Did you know that London's recycling program expanded on Dec.1, 2008???
The City of London is improving our solid waste diversion rate by accepting more materials in household blue boxes. The following items can now be placed with your Stream 2 recyclables (containers):
- Milk and Juice Cartons
- Tetra packs (from juice, soup, wine, etc.)
- Empty Paint Cans
Please properly prepare all materials for the blue box by ensuring all containers are empty and lids and straws are removed.
NOTE - Cans containing unwanted paint are Household Special Waste and must be brought to one of the waste depots located throughout the City. Never dump paint or other chemical substances down your drain, on the ground or in the storm sewer.
