High water levels likely for the weekend

Above zero and even double-digit temperatures are expected for the next few days.  Unfortunately, we can also expect quite a lot of rain to come with that warm front.  Flood forecasters at the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority are predicting high water will occur on Saturday after we receive 30 - 40mm of rain.  Major flooding is not expected unless we receive more rain than forecasted.

Please stay away from ditches, creeks and ponds during this period as the combination of slippery banks and fast-flowing water can be very dangerous.
