Friends of the Coves

Silver Creek Restoration:
The Silver Creek Restoration Plan was presented on May 25, 2018 at the Natural Channels Conference at University of Guelph. Friends of the Coves is working with Stantec Consulting Ltd. and the City of London on this project. The details of the restoration plan and design can be found in the presentation. 

The main goals of the restoration are:

• Channel stability for water quality and habitat
• Plantings for riparian habitat at 2:1 replacement ratio for trees
• Establish appropriate, stable location for pedestrian bridge
• Enhance riparian habitat
• Create suitable habitat for a warm water fishery

This project is funded by funded by the City of London and FOTCSI (Ontario Trillium Foundation).
